Castelluccio di Norcia is a village located in the Sibillini Mountains National Park at an altitude of 1452 metres, on top of a hill, in the center of a plateau divided into 3 floors: Pian Grande; Pian Piccolo and Pian Perduto. Between the end of May and the first days of July each year these plans are transformed into a spectacle of nature called "La Fiorita" of Castelluccio di Norcia. The flowers bloom and the 3 floors explode with colours, with shades ranging from yellow ocher to red, from purple to white. For example, you can admire lentils (characteristic and grown in Castelluccio), gentianelles, poppies, daffodils, violets, asphodels, viola Eugeniae, clovers, sorrels and many others.
At the foot of Monte Catria in a valley surrounded by large beech forests stands the splendid complex of the Camaldolese abbey of Santa Croce, remembered by Dante in the XXI Canto of Paradise. Here, from the original cells scattered around a chapel, numerous stone buildings arose starting from the 11th century, including the cloister, the church with crypt, the Chapter room, the splendid scriptorium, the monks' cells, the guesthouse and the Library. , noble and austere environments that gather around the massive bell tower and still host the Camaldolese monks today.

Built on a hill 5 kilometers from the coast, the Gradara castle is a magnificent example of 14th century military architecture, still with the double walls equipped with Ronda walkways, towers for military defense with loopholes and battlements. Around the primitive fortress, a tower house probably built in the 12th century, the Rocca was built by the Malatesta family, of which the Gothic style architecture in the courtyard of honor and the typical medieval storm defenses remain.
